Transport Administrator, (Shipping)
Job Description
As a Transport/Customer Service Administrator, you are seen as the heart of the admin department as you will help organise, and manage a diverse range of responsibilities to help support the smooth running of the Transports and Admin operation.
The ideal candidate will have experience within an administration and logistics/transport department and be looking for a long-term opportunity where they will play a vital role.
Responsibilities
·Assessing and completing daily driver collection rounds using an Industry-based software system (full training will be provided)
Supporting the sales team in account management in the event of service queries or issues
Liaising with customers to ensure operational requirements, KPI’S and customer satisfaction are always met
Call handling – liaising with customers and our internal Transport Department.
Order processing and confirmation and running and clearing daily reports.
Updating customer details on our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
Liaising with our drivers by giving them operational and admin support
Supporting the transport team with vehicle planning and route efficiency by delivering general administration as required and performing data analysis and key reports
Debriefing of transport office/drivers at the end of the working day if any challenges have been identified and support with swift resolutions
Resolving service-related queries and invoice/charge queries on behalf of the customer with the support of the finance and sales team.
Skills Required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively.
Experience in working to tight deadlines
Good attention to detail
Good geographical knowledge of the local area
Strong PC skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum GCSE Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Desirable
Experience in the Transport /Logistics industry.
