Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Felixstowe for a Quality Control Compliance Officer
Duties
Maintaining compliance programmes and processes
Responsible for the auditing process in-line with Control and Compliance.
Identify any risk associated with CHB execution.
Work closely with Risk & Compliance Manager to ensure team delivers accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements and team adheres to Direct Representation procedure.
Assist Risk & Compliance Manager to ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls and at the same time will highlight compliance or control issues or risk
Collate, analyse and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders.
Ensure all Operating Manuals are reviewed regularly and updated where required.
Check closely that work carried out complies with standard as defined in the operating Manuals.
Identify waste in processes, continuously driving and delivering improvements which will positively impact productivity (production) levels.
Maintain a good business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders.
Support all growth and actively participate in creating innovative solutions and share Best Practice and knowledge across other Areas/Regions.
Carry out any reasonable request made by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
Perform duties associated with the running of European Compliance Control Tower.
Skills/Experience Required
Previous experience with HM Revenue & Customs, including classification
Customs systems knowledge (Descartes or other) will be advantageous
Good understanding and experience with continuous Improvement techniques, audits, trainings, metric driven
Proficient with Outlook and MS Applications
Good verbal, written and presentation skills
Salary up to £35,000
