Job Description

Our client is one of the leading international carriers, providing a full range of logistics and transportation services. It is also an industry leader in the use of information technology and e-commerce to manage the entire cargo process.

They are looking to recruit a Marketing Analyst

Role

Conduct in-depth analysis of our current business portfolio against defined strategic objectives.
Produce regular reports in a timely and accurate manner with actionable recommendations (some common reports required are as listed below *).
Preparation of presentations and reports for interaction with key stakeholders, sales management, HQ and trade departments, and customers.
Production of regular reports and identifying trends for market shares, identifying target customers, understanding competition service profile developments.
Co-ordinate with Sales for timely update of Umbrella rates; distribute Umbrellas and ad-hoc circulars to customers; maintain customer email database
Process credit applications; review and update credit terms by liaising with customers, as required by Sales and FINCON.
Improve brand awareness and be a brand ambassador. Recognise where brand continuity and implementation can be improved. For example; standardising documents. This requires a high level of attention to detail.
Help to arrange corporate and team events such as vessel visits, customer visits and corporate events. Requires good communication, teamwork and a positive attitude.
Assist with general administration and ad-hoc tasks and projects required by Assistant Manager and RSM.
Maintain giveaway stock levels and stock room. Provide merchandise to sales teams and customers when needed.
Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials both hard and soft copies.
Assist with customer and area re-coding, and CPF maintenance.
Will have comprehensive knowledge of all inhouse systems including; IRIS4, Webplaza (mainly CPRS), CTS, JOC, MS Office.

Historical shipment data
Customer booking pattern analysis
Monitor sales targets and achievements for the Region and individuals.
SPLY (Same Period Last Year) comparisons
Track market share

Requirements

Proven market research analysis experience, minimum 1 to 3 years of market analyst experience, preferably within the shipping and/or freight forwarding industry.
Strong analytic skills.
Expertise with all Microsoft Office tools especially advanced excel, and PowerPoint

Salary is c£22,000
