Job Description

Our client is a major company based in East Ipswich and is looking to appoint an Inside Sales Co-ordinator.
The inside sales team maintains day to day contact and communication with the full scope of the customer base. The department will initiate sales contacts to promote the line services and respond to enquiries from customers.
You will work closely with the Bookings and Customer Service departments, providing fully maintained rate agreements in the company systems in order that bookings received can be automatically rated and moved seamlessly on through the documentation process without delay.
Main Duties
– Develop contact with customers, and to receive feedback on market situations and competitor activities.
– Ensure prompt response to customer enquiries for service information and rate quotations for all import/export services – to liaise with the Marketing department for pricing/commercial guidance where appropriate.
– Maintain tariffs and details of all current customer agreements; to advise Southampton.

– Import Department of new, or changes to existing import customer arrangements.
– To ensure all relevant details are available for Sales & marketing database/OPUS purposes.
– To instigate telesales and market identification as appropriate.
– To provide Account Managers with all service, competition and trade pricing information; to ensure efficient sales back up.
– Initiate and respond to cargo leads and to follow up the acceptance of rate quotations.
– Maintain the timely input of information into the sales & marketing database.
– Participate in the selection and securing of target accounts; to monitor performance in conjunction with the relevant Account Manager.
– Participate in weekly forecast information, production of trade budgets, performance statistics and variance analysis; to identify gains and losses within weekly customer performance.
– To work within departmental working procedures; ensuring all information is accessible to relevant persons.
– To maintain individual target and performance standards; to achieve departmental objectives
