Job Description

Our Ipswich client is looking to recruit a freight forwarder to add further growth and development
The candidate must have at least 2 years solid European Road Freight experience with the focus on the UK, Spanish/French export markets.
The role will include:
Customer liaison – making and taking job bookings
Arranging collections/deliveries with sub-contractors
Helping organise FTL & LTL movements both in and out of the UK
Negotiating rates with customers
Developing and building relationships with new and current customers/sub-contractors
Working closely with staff of other departments

Key requirements:
Must be proactive and driven and ideas and solutions will be listened to and are encouraged.
Have experience working on either imports/exports or both arranging full loads (FTL) and part loads (LTL)
Have experience between the UK and either Spain or France
Have solid experience working within the European road freight forwarding industry.

Additional information: Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00hrs – 17:00hrs
Holiday: 20-25 days holiday per year

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000. Company pension and bonus scheme.
